Single or tandem jumps available
For the true adventure experience, there is bungy jumping. Rotorua bungy provides some of the most spectacular views of the district, Lake Rotorua, Mokoia Island and far below the trout filled Ngongotaha Stream. As you stand on the purpose built tower, 43 meters above scenic farmland, you’ll hear your jump master call “3, 2, 1 Bungy! As you take the leap of faith. On completion pose with the Bungy crew in front of the cameras to celebrate your success.
Swoop:
The Swoop consists of specially designed hang gliding harnesses where you are cocooned inside. Up to three people can participate in a Swoop at one time, the more people the better the ride. You nominate who pulls the ripcord on command and you are winched 40 meters sky high above the Ngongotaha Stream. Your jumpmaster will call ‘ready on the ripcord’ and as you release yourself; you plunge towards the earth at 130kmph.
Agrojet:
Power around the purpose built watercourse in a high speed Hamilton Jet Boat. Think you can handle speed surges up to 100kph in four seconds? The G-force sensation is akin to a Formula One Racing car in full throttle. Climb aboard. Snuggle into the bucket seat, click into your four-point race harness and let your pro driver show you what life’s really like in the fast lane – because there is no slowing down for the corners! These 13 foot, state of the art water scythes cut a foaming path through the Agrojet watercourse – the hot 400Ci Chevy engine delivers a pulsing 450 horsepower to the one stage jet unit.
Freefall Extreme Teaser:
Ever wanted to fly? Experience the thrill of body flying; this is the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Let the Freefall team guide you on the flight of your life as you step out into the flight zone. You’ll fly up to 4 meters high suspended on the wind tunnel high above the farmlands of the Agrodome.
Freefall Xtreme is powered by a V12 diesel engine, which turns a DC3 aircraft propeller creating winds of up to 180kmph. Safety is paramount with full training provided and a air cushion to provide a soft landing area, as you come out of your flight
Shweeb:
The Shweeb velodrome is the world’s first human-powered monorail racetrack. It consists of two 200metre long overhead rail circuits that vary in height between two and four meters above the ground. Under the tracks hang high performance pedal powered vehicles. Between one and five vehicles can be loaded onto each track enabling teams to race each other or race against the clock.
Riders sit back in the recumbent position and due to the minimal resistance riders reach speeds of up to 45km per hour and on the curves getting up to a 60degree angle, making it a dynamic and thrilling ride experience.

About Agroventures:
Description: Agroventures is the home of unique New Zealand adventure activities. Located within the grounds of the world famous Agrodome, 10kms North of Rotorua city, this is an all weather adventure centre.
What makes us unique? Agroventures has the world’s only Shweeb, Rotorua Bungy – a New Zealand icon, the fastest jet sprint experience in the country – Agrojet, Swoop, plummet towards the earth at 130kmph and the Southern Hemispheres’ only Freefall Xtreme, wind tunnel.
Surrounded by scenic farmland and the adventure activities the main reception area is your first point of call. Here you can view the activities and decide on what you want to do, true adventure seekers will try everything and then go back for seconds! There are heaps of cool packages to choose from.
Opening Hours: We are open from 9.00am - 5.00pm daily year round. Closed on Christmas Day.
Payment Terms & Conditions: Payment for all activities must be made on the day of arrival.
Health and Saftey:
Rotorua Bungy:Clients must weigh a minimum of 35 Kg and be at least 10 years of age. Those under 16 years of age require parental consent.
Swoop:Clients must be at least 1meter tall. There are no age restrictions.
Freefall Xtreme:Clients with shoulder or back injuries are advised that this may not be a suitable activity. Minimum weight requirement is 25Kg. If less than 18 years of age, parental consent is required.
Agrojet:Clients need to be at least 1meter tall. There are no age restrictions.
Shweeb: Clients need to be 1.4m tall and no taller than 2m tall.
Additional Comments: Transportation is available from Tourism Rotorua Information Centre, 1167 Fenton Street,Rotorua. This is an additional cost. The Rotorua Activity Shuttle departs every hour on the hour from 9am - 4pm. |
